School Rules

I.        Daily Morning Assembly

  1. All pupils are to assemble quietly in the hall.

  2. All pupils are to put their bags in their classrooms before making their way to the hall.

  3. All pupils are to be in the hall by 7.20 am.

 

II.        During the flag raising ceremony

  1. All pupils who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Pupils will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart.

  2. All pupils who are non-Singaporeans are to stand still and give due respect with hands by their side. 

  3. All pupils are to sing the school song and recite the Marist Creed.

  4. All pupils have to pay attention when announcements are made.

 

III.        Attire & Appearance

School uniform

  1. All pupils are to wear the prescribed school uniform. Modification to the uniform is not allowed.

  2. All pupils are to put on the school tie every Monday unless they have PE (Physical Education) lessons on that day.

  3. All pupils are to display the name tag above the pocket of the school uniform at all times.

  4. All pupils are to replace the name tag if it is damaged. Order forms are available in the General Office.

 

PE Attire

  1. Put on PE attire when you have PE and when you are instructed to do so. Modification to the uniform is not allowed.
  2. All pupils are to display the name tag above the pocket of your polo PE attire.

  3. All pupils are to replace the name tag if it is damaged. Order forms are available in the General Office.

Hairstyle

1.    All pupils are to be clean-shaven. Beards and moustaches are not allowed.

2.    All pupils are to maintain an acceptable hairstyle:

  • Simple, tidy and neat
  • Trimmed, at least 2 cm above the collar and sloped up
  • Short, not touching the eyebrows nor the ears

Shoes and Socks

  1. All pupils are to wear shoes and socks that are totally white.
  2. All pupils are to wear laced shoes with no velcro parts, except for the P1s.

 

Necklace and ring

  1. All pupils are not allowed to wear necklace/s or ring/s to school.
  2. All pupils are allowed to wear chains for religious purposes but it must be covered by the collar of the school uniform.

 

IV.    Handphone Policy

  1. Only P3 to P6 Marists are allowed to bring handphone to school in accordance to the Handphone Policy (Click here for Handphone Policy)
    • Handphone is to be stored away in the locker at all times during school hours.
  1. All Marists are strongly encouraged to use the public phones available at the school porch and the canteen, or in case of emergency, the office phone to contact your family members


 
Code of Conduct

  1. All pupils are to show respect to their elders especially teachers and parents.
  • Bow to an adult when you see one. (Bowing at an angle of 45o with both hands behind your back is respectful and the Chinese traditional way of greeting)
  • Be polite in speech and action.
  1. All pupils are to love and respect God, peers and juniors.
  • Be helpful to those who need help.
  • Be thankful for all the things received.
  • Be neat in work and appearance.
  • Walk with both hands placed behind your back and refrain from running when moving about in the school compound.
  1. All pupils are strongly encouraged to join in the prayers and be respectful.
