National Cadet Corps (Sea)

Training Schedule: Wednesdays 2.30 pm – 5.30 pm and Fridays 2.30 pm – 6 pm
 
Training Venues: School premises (Primary & Secondary Section Basketball Courts 
 
and Multi-Purpose Court) or outside school, depending on activity
 
Aims and Objectives
 
The aim of the NCC (Sea) unit is to develop our cadets to be a confident person, 
 
active contributor, concerned citizen and self-directed learner. The activities that the 
 
cadets go through in NCC will better prepare them for their National Service.
 
History, Achievements and Activities
 
Formed in 2000, the Maris Stella NCC (Sea) unit has grown to be a force to be 
 
reckoned with in the NCC (Sea) community. Our unit has won 13 GOLD awards 
 
consecutively in the Best unit competition from 2002 to 2014. In 2013, our unit 
 
clinched the NCC Best (Sea) Unit award. Over the years, our cadets have attained 
 
awards at the NCC Free Style Exhibition Drill Competition, NCC Annual Sea 
 
Competition, NCC Shooting Competition, NCC Outstanding Cadet Award, etc… 
 
Achievements for 2015
 
 2nd Position at Sea District NCC Freestyle Exhibition Drill (FSD) Competition  
 
 Best Sea Performing Unit & 6th position at NCC FSD Competition Grand Finals
 
 1st Position at the Rowing Competition (Dragonboat) at Sea Competition
 
 1st Position at Junior Cadets Kayaking Singles Competition at Sea Competition
 
 2nd Position at Cadet Leaders Kayaking Singles Competition at Sea Competition
 
 1st Position at Senior Cadets Kayaking Doubles Competition at Sea Competition
