Launch of 60th anniversary commemorative book

We are proud to announce the launch of our 60th anniversary commemorative book, featuring stories of Marists from 60 different industries. The launch will take place this Saturday, 23 November, at 10.30am in the Shaw Hall.

All Marists, past and present, are welcome to attend; they can also revisit their secondary memories by taking in the Open House atmosphere that same morning.

Maris Stella High School achieved commendable results in the 2018 GCE O-Level Examinations, with an improvement in mean L1R5 score. Below is an overview of the results:

Qualified for JC/ Polytechnic Admission99.7%
Qualified for JC Admission89.8%

In the 2018 cohort of 333 students, an impressive 31.5% scored at least 6 distinctions. Among the Marists who performed well, some had PSLE T-scores below 220. Despite this, they worked very hard and achieved good value-added results.

The Class of 2018 has done the school proud by realising their potential to achieve good academic and CCA results, even while balancing the two. These students exemplify the school motto of 勤勉忠勇 and the Marist values of presence and love of work.

Release of O-Level Results and Open House Dates

The O-level results will be released on 14 Jan 2019 (Monday). Various Junior Colleges and Polytechnics will be conducting their Open Houses to help students make a more informed decision on post-secondary education. Please refer to the attached files for the Open House dates and time.

We are proud to announce that three former Marists who studied at Victoria Junior College have gone on to pursue their university studies on various scholarships.

1) Chan Xi, Isaac (Marist from class of 2012) a recipient of NUS Merit Scholarship studying Accountancy in NUS.

2) Chun Hong Wei (Marist from class of 2012) who is a recipient of Singapore-Industry Scholarship studying Computer Engineering in NUS; and

3) Lin Mingxuan (Marist from class of 2014) recipient of Singapore Government Scholarship (Police) studying Social Policy in the London School of Economics, United Kingdom.

School graduation certificate and 2017 yearbook 

Dear Marist,

The School Graduation Certificate (SGC) and the 2017 Yearbook is ready for collection from next Monday (9th July) at the General Office from 9:30 am to 4:30pm. If you are unable to come, your parents can collect on your behalf, but they will need to show their NRIC to the general office staff for verification purposes.

Cheong Zer was awarded with a Silver Medal by the SP Business School for his all-round accomplishments in the program.

Maris Stella High School celebrates the 60th Anniversary of its founding with a tapestry of song, music and stories. Feel the energy of the Marist Spirit as we take you through a musical journey that hark back to days gone by. Be enthralled by special appearances of ex-Marists Cavin Soh (Mediacorp Artiste), Moses Lim (“Under One Roof") and Tan Yanwei (Local Artiste).  Listen to the Marist story that began in 1958.  It is a narrative intertwined with the history of Singapore.  Our Symphonic Band, Chinese Orchestra and String Ensemble will provide a potpourri of familiar tunes and favourites. We invite all Marists, together with their families and friends, to come home to the Marist Family and be part of our celebration.  We promise you a Stellar evening!

60TH aNNIVERSARY REunion DINNER 海星中学六十周年校庆晚宴

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of our founding, Maris Stella High School Alumni and the School will be organising a reunion dinner for Marists.  Indeed, the Marist family consists of many generations of students who share the same heritage and history.  It is this common experience that we want to celebrate.  Come and reunite with your old school mates and teachers and relive the friendships and memories that made Maris Stella High School such a special place in your lives.  The venue of the dinner has been changed to the Ritz Carlton, instead of the school grounds.  Come home to the Marist Spirit.

Lenten project 2018


As we celebrate our 60th anniversary this year, we would like to remind our Marists to count their blessings and remember those who are less fortunate. The school has embarked on a full-school Lenten project, in partnership with Hope Pray Rise (http://hpr-hopeprayrise.org). The organisation seeks to empower the needy by distributing relief goods, clothes, sports shoes and school supplies to the primary and secondary students in the impoverished villages in the town of Abra, Philippines. Through this project, they are given hope, thus inspiring them to pray and strengthening them to rise. We are targeting to ship at least 60 boxes of donated supplies to the impoverished villages in Abra, Philippines.

We will hold our Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration on 15 Feb. During the CNY celebrations, we will share the many aspects of the Chinese New Year traditions as part of our Brother Chanel Programme, which focuses on building cultural appreciation and embracing cultural diversity in Singapore. 

Your child/ ward is encouraged to be dressed in red or wear CNY traditional clothing to school, although this is OPTIONAL. We would like our Marists to experience the festive mood and be comfortable at the same time. As for footwear, only school shoes are permitted. 

Please note that the Student Care Centre (SCC) will function from 10 am to 1 pm on 15 Feb. 19 Feb is a scheduled school holiday in lieu of Saturday being a public holiday. School will resume as usual on 20 Feb.


All primary section Marists will be dismissed at 10am. 
Please note that the Student Care Centre (SCC) will function from 10 am to 1 pm on 15 Feb. 


School hours for secondary section on 15 Feb will be from 8.20 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
